Pyrenees French Mountain Black Tea

This black tea was produced on April 21, 2023 by Lucas Ben-Moura on the Terrasses de l'Arrieulat in the heart of the Pyrenees, an ideal terroir which gives this tea its aromatic richness on a fresh and woody background, gourmet notes flourish. stewed fruits. Entirely worked by hand.

It is in high altitude environments that the greatest teas are produced, such as in the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal or in the mountains of Ali Shan in Taiwan. The mountainous terrain creates a humid environment conducive to the growth of the tea plant. The nights are cool at altitude, which forces the tea plant to grow slowly.
Thus the tannins, sugars and aromatic principles are concentrated in the leaves. These are the conditions found in the heart of the Pyrenees where the Lucas tea garden is located.

Favor a preparation with gong fu cha, leaving 2-3 min during the 1st passage of water, then lengthen the time by 1-2 min over the passages.
