The new 2023 harvest is available!
Cultivated in Kirishima on the island of Kyushu by Mr. Nishi, this shade-grown tea comes from the Saemidori cultivar renowned for its almost sweet and umami flavors. This cultivar, combined with the peculiarity of the tea being covered for about twenty days before harvesting, brings a sensation of deep softness with a very present texture, almost nourishing like a broth, on a green vegetable background evolving towards a chestnut note.
And if you enjoy it, I invite you to discover another vintage from the same cultivar worked by Mr. Nishi, the Sencha Saemidori.
