An aromatic richness and a structure with soft tannins specific to low grown teas (below 600m altitude) with nuances of candied and stewed fruits, characterizes this Ceylon OP tea, composed of whole and elongated leaves. It is produced by the Lumbini tea estate which is located in a valley next to the Sinharaja forest reserve. This natural reserve, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the few primary rainforests in the world, rich in endemic species. This proximity to the forest creates for the plantation, a preserved ecosystem, misty and cool, conducive to tea growing.
