From its Latin name Cymbopogon citratus, I discovered this lemongrass during a mission in Sri Lanka. I had been looking for a long time for a dry lemongrass with flavors close to a fresh lemongrass commonly used in cooking in many tropical countries, this plant thrives in humid tropical climate. I fell in love with this one, the producer having succeeded in preserving the fresh vegetal and lemony side of the plant during the dehydration, quite an art!
This vintage is freshly brought back from my recent trip to Sri Lanka from a November 2022 harvest!
